James dyed his hair black but at other points red and white. He wore a leather jacket with studs and spikes. But he always got A's.
Our Friend In Maui
Every year we go and visit our friends in Maui, who put us up at their beautiful guest house on the ocean in Paia town. This bird lives there and says hello when we arrive.
This is James's favorite board, and behind him is our white Volvo, which is the perfect beach mobile. It has a name: Moby.
Mr. Fox always gets a cake for his birthday. He doesn't know how to blow out the candle.
Truth to Power
Here James is asking a question of President George W. Bush. From the looks of it, Bush wasn't happy with this one.

Mr. Fox is a big guy, but he's got a heart of gold (and gold hair).
Indian Magic Man
James went with Kat's family to India in 2004, it was the trip of a lifetime.
James's job frequently leads him to give interviews on television, like the one here, with Charlie Rose.
This is James's profile picture for his magazine pieces.
James can be as resistant to wearing a birthday hat as Mr. Fox can, but when push comes to shove, he comes along and does it.
This is the one break in the world - not working here - that James most wants to surf. And one day he will, hopefully with a son or daughter by his side.
